India’s Total Number of COVID-19 Cases Jump to 1.73 Lakh with Highest Single-Day Spike of 7,964 Cases

New Delhi: The total number of coronavirus cases in India jumped to 173,763 on Saturday with highest single day spike of 7,964 cases, as per the data given by the Union Health Ministry.

This is the second consecutive day that the country has reported a daily rise of over 7,000 COVID-19 cases.

According to the Health Ministry, India has now 86,423 active cases and 82,369 persons have recovered and have been discharged.

As many as 4,971 persons succumbed to the disease, of which 265 persons died in the last 24 hours.
