Abu Dhabi: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper KL Rahul has won the toss and opted to field against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 13th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
MI have chosen the same team which was defeated in a super over against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Mumbai began their season with a loss to Chennai Super Kings. But the champs bounced back with a win over the Kolkata Knight Riders. But they once again failed to notch up a win in their next match as they lost to the Virat Kohli-led RCB.
KXIP have brought in all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham as replacement for Murugan Ashwin, marking the only change from the lineup that suffered defeat by a margin of four wickets against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Rahul has been in tremendous form this season with the bat and has also been praised for his captaincy.
Both teams will hope to get back into the tournament and bounce back with convincing wins.
