Bhubaneswar: The identification of third case of Coronavirus in Bhubaneswar raises many questions regarding the prevalence of the deadly disease.
The third person has a travel history to Delhi and has also visited many places both in Odisha and outside.
It was thought that Odisha is somewhat away from the deadly Coronavirus as the state had only two reports of infections till yesterday. But the identification of the third patient has put a question mark on the prevalence of the disease.
It is being thought that Corona has entered into the third stage i.e., Community transmission level in Odisha.
While the former two patients had a history of visiting foreign countries, the third one has no such history but he visited Haryana only.
While speaking to the media, Subrat Baghchi, Odisha Governments Chief Spokesperson for Covid-19, has asked everybody to take extra precautions to avoid Coronavirus.
The third conformed person’s age is 60 years and he had visited Delhi on the 7th of March 2020. He later went to Rewadi in Haryana and returned to Odisha in an Indigo Flight on 10th March along with his wife and daughter. On 16th of March he went to the Odisha Assembly dispensary for checkup as he was feeling unwell. On 21 March he went to the Kar Clinic for further treatment and was kept in ICU till 23rd March. On 24 March he was discharged from the clinic and he went to the Capital Hospital on 25th March. His samples were taken on 25th March for testing Covid-19 and the same were received on 26th with a positive conformation.
The government has started tracking all persons who might have come in contact the third patient. The family members and the driver have been quarantined and about 104 persons have been advised to keep themselves isolated and take precautions.
