Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his deepest gratitude to the voters of Bijepur after their massive mandate to Rita Sahu to script a historic win.
“It is the historic victory of people of Bijepur”, the BJD president reacted on the poll results on his twitter handle.
Naveen thanked the people for showering their blessings on the party.

The BJD supremo congratulated Rita Sahu, won the election with a record margin of 97,990 votes. This victory margin is the highest in the history of Odisha Assembly elections.
The previous highest margin of 94,555 was by Bishwa bhushan Harichandan in 2000 Assembly elections.
Naveen also thanked the party workers for reaching out to the people and winning their hearts.
Notably, the BJD had never won this seat in 15 years till 2018.
