Khordha Admin Extends Institutional Quarantine To 14 Days Citing Unavailability Of Separate Toilets At Home

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, the Khordha district administration has extended the period of institutional quarantine from 7 days to 14 days.

In a letter to all BDOs, the Collector said “There is no separate toilet available for the returnees for their use during home quarantine period in some of the rural households. Keeping the above factors into consideration, it is hereby instructed for all the Block Development Officers to extend the quarantine period of the returnees in the TMCs for 14 days in all the Block areas of Khordha district.”

Notably, some returnees have tested positive for COVID-19 while undergoing home quarantine after completing institutional quarantine.
