Koraput: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Smart Health Cards in Koraput and Nabarangpur. Naveen is also scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of a number of developmental projects in the two districts. The Chief Minister will attend the program virtually. While the Koraput launching program is scheduled to be held in the morning, it will be held in the afternoon in Nabarangpur.
More than 3.7 lakh beneficiaries of Koraput and 3.18 lakh beneficiaries of Nabarangpur will get the benefits of the smart health cards. The Smart Health Cards will entitle the beneficiaries for free treatment at all government hospitals of the state and more than hundred private empanelled hospitals in and out of the state. These health cards provide health coverage of Rs 5 lakhs for male members and Rs ten Lakhs for female members. More than 3.5 crore people of the state will get the benefits under this scheme.
