Learner’s Licence System to Be More Stringent and User Friendly in Odisha: STA

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Transport Authority (STA) today said that the learner’s Licence system will be more stringent and user friendly.

Learner’s licence process will be revamped. All LL test Centre of 38 RTOs will be fitted with CCTV cameras by the end of this December. The video footage will be monitored at STA to make the test process transparent.

Even the LL test Centre of RTO Cuttack will be on public domain on a pilot basis and anyone can see the LL test Centre and observe the test process. The viewing link of RTO Cuttack LL centre will be available in STA website.

In order to improve the quality of the examination, the number of questions the candidate has to answer has been increased to 20 from earlier 10 questions, the STA said.

As the candidates are facing difficulty in handling the mouse while appearing the computerised LL test, the existing computers will be replaced by TOUCH screen computers in all the RTOs by March 2021, it added.

Candidates will be provided with LL mock test kiosks in all the RTOs, so that they can go prepared for the test. The candidates have been urged to go through the LL question bank and appear for the mock test at www.parivahn.gov.in to acquire knowledge on traffic rule and road safety, the STA further said.

Similarly DL centres of all the RTOs will be fitted with CCTV cameras by 31st December 2020 and the test process will be monitored by STA.
