Naveen Announces Additional Contingency Fund of Rs 17.5 Crore to Police Stations

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced additional contingency fund to the tune of Rs 17.5 crore for as many as 587 police station in the State.

The additional amount has been provided to the police stations as part of Mo Sarkar Initiatives, so that the police stations can deliver better services to the people and functions more efficiently.

While, the Government has sanctioned Rs 45 thousand per month to 44 police stations under Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionrate, Rs 30 thousand per month has been sanctioned to 142 urban police stations in the State.

Similarly, 351 rural police Stations will get Rs 20 thousand per month as part of Mo Sarkar initiative.

Likewise 30 thousand each  has been sanctioned  4 women police Stations, 5 traffic police stations, 15 Railway Police Stations, 4 cyber police stations, one Economic offence police stations, One STF, one HRPC and one crime branch police stations.

Similarly, 20 thousand each has been sanctioned to 18 marine police stations.
