Naveen Congratulates Odisha’s Lt Col Laxmi Dhar Bhuyan on Registering Guinness Book of World Records for Headstand Yoga

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Laxmi Dhar Bhuyan from Balasore district on registering his name in Guinness Book of World Records by performing difficult yoga headstand despite 20% disability.

“Congratulations Lt Col Laxmi Dhar Bhuyan, from Odisha’s Baleswar district on registering his name in Guinness Book of World Records by performing difficult yoga headstand despite 20% disability. Your determination & commitment is an inspiration for others”, tweeted the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

Bhuyan, who is also a marathon runner, scripted history on Friday by registering his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for longest time hitting on hips by heels on headstand yoga position with 20% disability due to calcaneal fracture.

The army officer also found place in Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records, Limca Book of Records, and Best of India Records.
