Naveen Hopes to Improve Covid-19 Situation in Twin Cities in Next Week

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today expressed hope that the Covid-19 situation in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will be improved in next week.

 

While reviewing the Covid-19 situation, he instructed the official concerned to increase the ICU beds for critical patients in the twin cities as the cases are on rise.

He further directed the officials to increase the ambulance services as well in the two cities.

He, however,  stressed on the maintaining social distancing, wearing masks and not to spitt in public places to curb the pandemic.

Expressing  concerned over violation of Covid-19 guidelines, Patnaik said it has came to notice that small shopkeepers and makeshift venders are not following the coviod-19 guidelines. He instructed authorities to take action against those violating the covid-19 norms.

On the wake of increasing caseload in both Khordha and Cuttack district, he instructed authorities to put a robust health infrastructure in place and inculcate awareness among the people  on the covid-19 guidelines.

He expressed satisfaction over the improvement of Covid-19 situation in the district like Ganjam, Sundaegarh, Gajapati, and Koraput.

Patnaik further advised collectors of Cuttack, Khordha, bargarh and Jajpur and Commissioners of Cuttack and Bhiubaneswar Municipal Corporation to follow the Ganjam model in curbing the Pandemic.

Meanwhile Chief Secretary informed that more doctors and administrative officials will be deployed in the hotspots areas.
