Bhubaneswar: Giving a much needed shot in the arm in the fight against Covid-19 in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated the State’s sixth Plasma Bank at the Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput.
The Chief Minister had directed the officials of the health department to speed up the process of setting up of the Plasma Bank during his last review meeting on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Due to the high success rate of plasma treatment, Odisha government has been ramping up plasma therapy facilities in the state.
The five other plasma facilities include SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, VSS Medical College, Burla and Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela.
