Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today participated in a mass hand washing programme here today to sensitize the people about the COVID-19, the novel coronavirus that has swept into at least 114 countries and killed more than 4,000 people.
Hours after making statements on his government’s preventative measures to tackle the spread of the viral disease in the State, Naveen joined the mass hand washing programme held in the premises of the Assembly in the SAFE ODISHA campaign.
Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro and other members also took part in the programme.
Health experts suggest that washing hands is one of the essential hygiene measures one should adopt to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
