Naveen Launches “Odisha Mo Parivar”; Urges Workers For Selfless Service to People

Bhubaneswar: In yet another step towards social welfare of people, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched ‘Odisha Mo Parivar’ programme and asked Biju Janata Dal workers to remain above party politics and dedicate themselves to peoples’ service.

While launching the programme, Naveen said due emphasis will be given for protection of environment, healthcare along with assistance to the people affected with calamities through this programme. Odisha Mo Parivar is an innovative step by the Chief Minister and it will help numerous Odias to take advantage of the healthcare facilities. This initiative will also enable the people of Odisha to contribute towards a pollution-free state and getting rid of plastics.

The meeting held at the Naveen Niwas, was attended by senior leader and Convener of the Odisha Mo Parivar program Arup Patnaik, Biju Janata Dal MPs Achyuta Samanta, Chandrasekhar Sahu, Pinaki Mishra, MLAs Atanu Sabyasachi, Latika Pradhan, Ananta Jena, Sanjeev Mallick and Manohar Randhari among others.

According to a release issued on this occasion, the initiative will also enable non-resident Odias to establish rapport with the people of the state which will boost the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, Utkal Gourav Madhusudhan Das and legendary Biju Patnaik.

Three committees have also been formed to provide assistance to the people. Puri MP Pinaki Mishra, Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta, senior leaders Nalinikanta Pradhan and Sandhya Kumari Nayak have been included in the Environmental Protection Committee.

Similarly, MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Latika Pradhan, Manohar Randhari, Susant Kumar Rout, Rita Tarai, Ananta Narayan Jena, Sunita Biswal, Bharati Singh and Gourahari Mishra are the members of blood donation service and welfare activities.

Member of Parliament from Berhampur Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MLA Sanjib Kumar Mallik, Sudhir Samal, Dejalin Mohapatra have been included in the committee for providing help and assistance to the distressed Odias.
