Naveen Speaks to Odia Athletes Participating in Tokyo Olympics, Announces Rs 6 Cr for Gold, Rs 4 Cr for Silver and Rs 2.5 Cr for Bronze Winners

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today spoke to the athletes from Odisha who will be participating in the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

The Chief Minister announced cash awards to those athletes who win medals at the mega sporting event.

The State Government would provide a cash award of Rs 6 crore to gold medal winners, Rs 4 crore for silver medal winners and Rs 2.5 crore for bronze medal winners.

Each athlete will receive Rs 15 lakh for participating in the Olympics.

The Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to the Olympians – Dutee Chand, Pramod Bhagat, Deep Grace Ekka, Namita Toppo, Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas.
