Naveen to Appear on National Geographic on Sept 27 to Share Odisha’s Fani Experiences

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will appear on National Geographic TV Channel to share State’s experiences during devastating cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ and how his government successfully handled it.

The Odisha CM will be featured in the special programme ‘Mega cyclone FANI-Rescuing A Million’ to be aired at 9pm on September 27.

A 40-second promo video of the programme has been released by National Geographic.

The programme documents Odisha Government’s courage, determination and race against time before and post the natural calamity.

“ We had this tremendous challenge how to gear up everything,” said Naveen in the promo.

Notably, the UN had highly appreciated the Odisha Government for successfully handling of Fani that hit the State in May this year.

The State Government had managed to evacuate a record 12 lakh people in 24 hours to avert large scale devastation.
