Naveen to Hold Roadshow in Patkura on July 17

 

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Patkura Assembly constituency in Kendrapara District on July 17 to garner support of his party nominee for the ensuing election, informed  Minister Sushant Singh here today.

Naveen will conduct a roadshow in Patkura to campaign for Sabitri Agarwalla, who has been fielded by the ruling party after the demise of her husband and former BJD candidate Bed Prakash Agarwalla.
Earlier, the BJD supremo held a meeting with party leaders at his residence to chalk out a strategy in order to ensure a comprehensive victory for the BJD candidate.

Election to Patkura Assembly seat, which was earlier postponed due to Cyclone Fani, is now scheduled to be held on July 20.

The BJP has fielded Bijoy Mohapatra as its nominee, while the Congress has fielded Jayant Mohanty for the seat.

Counting of votes will be conducted on July 24.
