Bhubaneswar: There is no outbreak of bird flu in Odisha, said State Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Wednesday.
Chairing a meeting to review the possible bird flu situation in the State, the Chief Secretary informed that there has been no outbreak of the disease in the State.
Over 11,000 samples from different parts have been tested so far, but no case has been detected, he said.
Mohapatra has urged the officials to remain alert and intensify surveillance activities.
He also asked for the formation of ‘Rapid Response Team’ at the State and the district level to mitigate any possible outbreak.
