No Threat Of Community Transmission: Chief Secretary
Chief Secretary thanks people for wholeheartedly supporting shutdown
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy today allayed the fears of community transmission of the deadly Coronavirus in the state as all the infections in the state have a travel history. As the contact tracing efforts found the travel history of the Surya Nagar and Bomikhal area cases, it is now clear that there are no apprehensions of a community transmission.
The Chief Secretary also thanked the people of the twin cities of Bhubaneswar – Cuttack and Bhadrak for wholeheartedly supporting the shutdown imposed by the administration. He also congratulated the police and administration for their dedicated efforts to implement the shutdown. He said that the purpose of the shutdown was to ascertain the infections and we have successfully found the travel history.
He also announced that the shut down in these areas will be lifted by tonight 8 pm. He requested everybody not to panic and crowd the grocery shops. He also asked the citizens to act proactively to stay at home maintain social distancing.
