Nuapda: An Adarsha Vidyalaya Principal (I/C) in Nuapada district was caught red-handed today by vigilance officers while he was demanding and accepting bribe.
Sujan Kumar Sahu, I/C Principal, Adarsha Vidyalaya, Badi, Khariar,Nuapada has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 4000 from the complainant in order to update his service bòok and sanction annual increment in his favour.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sahu and seized.
Simultaneous searches have also been launched on residential house of Sahu in Angul district and his office at Badi in Nuapada.
Investigation is in progress against Sahu, the vigilance department said.
