Odisha Assembly Adjourned Due to Uproar over Nupur Sharma Issue

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha has adjourned the House till 4 PM on the first day of the monsoon session of the Assembly following the ruckus by the opposition parties over Nupur Sharma issue.

The Assembly witnessed chaos by both the Congress and BJP over the Nupur Sharma and Kanhaiyalal murder case, following which the Speaker adjourned the House.

The monsoon session of the Assembly began with a condolence motion moved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, mourning the death of former MLA from Balliguda Surendra Nath Kanhar
