Odisha CM Pays Humble Tributes to Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore on Birth Anniversary

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his humble tributes to legendary poet, creative artist, philosopher and Nobel laureate Gurudev #RabindranathTagore on birth anniversary.

In a Twitter post, the Odisha CM said that composer of our National Anthem will always be remembered for his all-embracing worldview which transcends the bounds of race, religion and country.

“Humble tributes to legendary poet, creative artist, philosopher & Nobel laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on birth anniversary. Composer of our National Anthem will always be remembered for his all-embracing worldview which transcends the bounds of race, religion and country”, the CM tweeted.

May 7 is the birth anniversary of India’s first Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. A poet, philosopher, patriot, and a social thinker put in one, Tagore is one of the greatest revolutionaries India has produced. His contribution to Bengali and English literature is unmatchable and he is known as the Bard of Bengal.

Tagore was born on May 7, 1861, in Kolkata.
