Odisha CM Reaffirms Pledge to Uphold Enshrined Ideals and Principles of Indian Constitution

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged people to uphold the enshrined ideals and principles of Indian Constitution in letter and spirit.

On the occasion of 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution today, the Odisha CM remembered the great visionaries who framed the Constitution.

“On Constitution Day, let’s reaffirm pledge to uphold the enshrined ideals & principles in letter and spirit; resolve to abide by the fundamental duties”, Naveen tweeted.

The Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is being celebrated today across the country to mark the adopting of the ‘Constitution of India’ by the Constituent Assembly on this day in 1949.

This year, the Constitution Day marks the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, which came into force on 26th January, 1950.

The Constitution declares India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assuring its citizens justice, equality and liberty and endeavours to promote fraternity.
