Odisha COVID Delta Plus Case: Epidemiology Team Visits Deogarh

Deogarh: An epidemiologist team today visited Deogarh district, where the first case of COVID Delta Plus was reported.

The team reached Deogarh district headquarters this morning to examine the case.

Odisha Health Services Director Bijay Mohapatra said that the 62-year-old man, who had infected by the new variant, is asymptomatic. The person had contracted the infection after he came in contact with a Covid positive patient. The DNA samples of the person were sent for genome sequencing in May, Mohapatra added.

The team will analyze the health condition of the concerned person. His contact tracing will be carried out, he further said.
