Odisha Govt Enhances Monthly Stipend of House Surgeons of State-run Medical Colleges from Rs 20,000 to Rs 28,000

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today announced the enhancement of monthly stipend of house surgeons of state-run medical colleges from Rs 20,000 to Rs 28,000.

The enhancement will be effective from January 1, 2021 and will prevail for a period of three years, the Health and Family Welfare Department said.
Considering the demand of House Surgeons Association and the views of the DMET to this effect, the Government has decided to enhance the monthly stipend of the house surgeons of the state-run medical colleges, it said.

The expenditure to this effect shall be met from the Budget provision made under appropriate Head of Account for respective Medical College & Hospitals, it added.
