Bhubaneswar: Stepping up its effort to curb the spreading of Coronavirus, the Odisha Government on Thursday issued special guidelines for containment zones.
According to guideline, all Additional Secretaries, DGP and district collectors have been asked to see that the deadly coronavirus does not spread in the containment zones.
The Collectors have been asked to ensure that Anganwadi, ANM and health workers and teachers move door to door to find out suspects. Medical Officers of concerned areas, however will take decisions as to whose swab samples will be collected for tests.
Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy has directed collectors to erect barricades and restrict movement of people in these areas.
The administration will supply medicine and all other essential commodities to all households at door steps. It has been asked to take proper care of elderly people, pregnant women, ailing persons and physically disabled persons.
A Whatsapp group will be created with prominent persons in every containment zone. They will disseminate information about suspects in their region. Swab samples of all suspects will be tested and If all suspects test negative for coronavirus twice as per protocol, then the containment restrictions would be lifted.
