Odisha Govt to Provide Accommodation at Rs 100-150 for Devotees in Puri

Puri: Here is some good news for the devotees of Lord Jagannath as they need not have to worry for accommodation. In a bid to provide better amenities to the pilgrims, the Odisha government has decided to provide low cost accommodation facility to the devotees visiting the holy city.

Speaking to media, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr. Krishan Kumar today said, land has been identified at Baseli Sahi police limits area for construction of Bhakta Niwas for accommodation at cheaper prices.

The Bhakta Niwas will be built in 9-10 acres of land with accommodation of 3,000-4,000 devotees, he added.

The cost of the accommodation would be Rs 100 to Rs 150 per bed only, he said.

Early in the morning, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian had visited Puri to review various ongoing developmental projects ahead of reopening of Srimandir.
