Odisha Plans Massive Vaccination Drive from Tomorrow, To Inoculate 3 Lakh People Daily

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to start massive COVID-19 vaccination drive from tomorrow with target to inoculate at least 3 lakh persons daily in the State.
The vaccination drive will take place in all blocks and ULBs across the State.

The Stste Government has asked the all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDM and PHOs, to expand the vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group and above 45 years and completely consume available stock (both Central & State supply) within shortest possible time.

As per the order, at least 5 sessions shall be planned in each block and NAC, 10 sessions in each Municipality and at least 20 in each Municipal Corporations.

Districts can plan for both online and on-site sessions based on feasibility. The officials will also mobilize beneficiaries due for 2nd dose to ensure timely vaccination, the Government said.

As many as 93.73 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in Odisha so far, of which 17.97 lakh persons have received two doses, according to reports.
