Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s economy is on the path of revival amid COVID-19 pandemic as the State has registered a growth of 20 per cent in GST collection in December 2020 as compared to the corresponding month in the previous year.
The total GST collection for the month of December was Rs 2,860 crore against Rs 2,383 crore in November 2019, according to the data given by the Union Ministry of Finance on Friday.
Odisha had achieved a 7.71 per cent growth in GST collection in November 2020 with overall collection at Rs 2,528.01 crore for the month compared to Rs 2,347.03 crore collected during the corresponding month in 2019.
It had recorded a 21.79 per cent growth in October last year as compared to the corresponding month of 2019.
