Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace sprinter Dutee Chand got visa to participate at two IAAF approved meets in Ireland (Aug 13) and Germany (Aug 19) respectively.
It has been confirmed by Odisha Sports on its Twitter handle today.
Earlier, Dutee had appealed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for an immediate intervention to get visa in order to participate in a couple of races in Europe. The 100 m dash in the two IAAF-approved races will help Dutee’s bid to qualify for the World Athletics Championships. The ace sprinter will take part at one IAAF approved race in Ireland on August 13 and another in Germany on August 19.
