Bhubaneswar: Two more Covid-19 patients have been succumbed to Coronavirus taking total death toll to 29 so far, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department today.
The fresh deaths were reported from Ganjam district.
“Regret to report the demise of two Covid positive cases. A 66 year old Male of Ganjam district, who was also a known case of Hypertension. A 40 year old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes,” said H&FW.
With this, the district registered 18 deaths due to the deadly virus so far.
Meanwhile Odisha reported 561 new cases of Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the highest single day spike in the State.
According to the State Information and Public Relations Department, of the 561 cases, 425 cases have been detected from the quarantine centres and the rest 136 are the local contacts.
Ganjam district recorded the maximum 283 cases.
