Bhubaneswar: A woman Maoist cadre was killed by the security forces in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.
The woman Maoist died during an exchange of fire with security forces near Padarpoda village under Gochhapada police limits in the district, police said.
Based on a reliable input, an operation was carried out in the area by two units of SOG and DVF. During the course of operation, an exchange of fire took place between the security forces and cadres of KKBN division of CPI Maoist.
A woman cadre was neutralized. Two country-made weapons and other camp articles were recovered from the spot. Further search and combing operation has been intensified in the area, police said.
