48 Hour Curfew To Be imposed In Puri District In View Of Bahuda

Puri: Ahead of Bahuda Yatra, the Puri district administration on Saturday announced clamping of curfew from 10 PM, June 30 till 10 PM of July 2nd. According to Collector Balwant Singh, the curfew will be enforced in the entire district and no vehicular movement except essential services and medical urgency will be allowed. During the curfew, all the roads leading to Puri will be sealed said Puri Collector, Balwant Singh in a video message.

 

He also added that people staying in the buildings located on both sides of ‘Badadanda’ (Grand Road) will not be allowed to come out during the curfew. The district administration is also going to launch a survey of people staying near Badadanda from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the district administration has requested local residential houses and religious institutes not to accommodate outsiders and any other person other than owner or permanent residents staying at those houses will be vacated.

The administration further urges the hotels and lodges not to book rooms for any tourists during this period.
