Puri: The Puri police today re-launched its 24×7 tourist helpline number to ensure safety and security of tourists visiting the holy city.
In view of recent unpleasant incidence related to a tourist couple in a private bus, where prompt legal action was taken by Sea Beach Police and accused was apprehended in less than 12 hours, further steps have been taken by Puri Police to ensure safety and secure of tourists, the Puri Police said in statement.
The tourist can use the helpline number 63709 67100 24×7 for any grievance / complaint as a single window contact number, it added.
A meeting of all private tourist bus associations’ office bearers was called today on under chairmanship of Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh to discuss various issues relating to safety and security of the tourists.
Private bus associations’ office bearers have assured full support to Puri Police in all respects to give the best user experience to all tourists visiting the holy town.
It was decided at the meeting to hold repeated sensitization and behavioural changes sessions of all bus drivers and helpers.
