Relaxation in Lockdown in Ganjam from Tomorrow,  Wearing Masks to Remain Compulsory

Berhampur: As not a single COVID-19 positive case surfaced in Ganjam district, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today said that the lockdown will be relaxed in some sectors from April 20.

Shops selling essential Items will remain open from 7 am to 12 noon to ensure social distancing and heat wave situation. Medicine store & clinics will open without restriction.

The movement of private vehicles for getting essential items will be allowed bet.

So far as two-wheeler is concerned, only one person can go out, no pillion rider will be allowed.

While MGNREGA works will start in rural areas, construction works will be allowed with social distancing norms.

In a video message Kulange said relaxation will help people resume their livelihood. He however said that mask is must for all and spitting in public place will be prohibited, he warned.

Sale of gutkha, tea and liquor will not be allowed.

People should maintain at least two metres distance between each other in public places in the work place, Kulange added.
