Sambalpur: The Road Safety Awareness Week was launched by Sambalpur Police near office of SP, Sambalpur.
The road awareness vehicle was flagged off which will move across all PS jurisdictions of the district and spread awareness through appeals to public to observe Motor vehicle rules.
The chariot will also participate in enforcement drive along with local PS. A motor cycle rally was also flagged off which will cover Sambalpur city.
The awareness week has programmes like street plays, appealing the violators with roses and requesting them to buy helmets etc, apart from special enforcement drive. The media is requested to give wide publicity for entire week which will have Rahgiri, marathon, walkathon, cyclothonetc, the district police said while urging the people to take part in the cause of spreading road safety awareness and save lives.
