Rs 2,000 Fine for Not Wearing Mask in Delhi: Kejriwal

New Delhi: As part of its measures to prevent the fresh wave of COVID-19, the Delhi Government today increased the fine for not wearing mask.

A fine Rs 2,000 fine will be slapped on those found without a mask, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The government has decided to the increase the fine from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000 to ensure people comply with the rules, the CM said.

He said that wearing a mask regularly could reduce the spread of virus significantly.
Delhi registered 7,486 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the infection tally in the national capital to over 5 lakh, according to reports.
