Bhubaneswar: The plasma bank at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack has achieved the milestone of collecting first 100 plasma units for the treatment of series COVID-19 patients in Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has lauded the achievement and congratulated the plasma bank team at the premier state-run medical college.
“Congratulate Plasma Bank team at @SCBMCHCTC on achieving the milestone of collecting first 100 plasma units… Plasma Therapy has greatly strengthened Odisha’s efforts in this war against COVID-19 and helped recover many serious Covid patients”, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a tweet.

The CM had inaugurated the Odisha’s first plasma bank at the SCB Medical College last month as part of his government’s commitment to provide advanced medical care and treatment to the COVID-19 patients.
Plasma therapy has been showing encouraging results on Covid-19 patients in the State.
