Bhubaneswar: Inspired by BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s good governance and people-centric developmental works, several leaders from Congress and BJP have joined the Biju Janata Dal on Monday.
In an induction programme held at the residence of BJD Rajya Sabha MP Subash Singh, several key leaders and their followers from Rayagada district joined the Odisha’s ruling party.
The BJD Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das, BJD Rayagada District Observer Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and other senior BJD leaders such as Jagannath Saraka, N. Bhaskar Rao and Raghunath Gomango welcomed the new members to the party fold.
Speaking on the occasion, the BJD Organizational Secretary said that the induction of new members will further strengthen the party.
Earlier today, two prominent JMM leaders Mahesh Chandra Hembram and Ramchandra Murmu took the membership of the BJD along with their supporters at an induction programme held at BJD’s State Headquarters here.
