Subash Panigrahi’s Suicide Attempt in Assembly Sending Dangerous Message: Atanu Sabyasachi

Bhubaneswar: BJP MLA Subash Panigrahi’s suicide attempt in the Assembly is sending a dangerous message to the people, said the ruling Biju Janata Dal legislator Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

In a press meet, the senior BJD leader has strongly condemned the Subash Panigrahi’s suicide attempt, stating that such an unruly behavior by an MLA in the Assembly has set a bad example in the democracy.

In the current pandemic times, everybody is using the sanitizers. What message (by drinking sanitizer in the Assembly) people will get from the BJP MLA, asked the BJD leader.

An elected member can raise the people’s issue in the Assembly and question the government, but should not resort to undemocratic way of protest in the House, the Mahakalapada MLA said.

He also came down heavily on the BJP for remaining silence on the issue.
