Rourkela: A forest official in Odisha’s Sundargarh district was caught red-handed by the vigilance department for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe.
Bijay Kumar Kothi, Forester, under Banki Forest Range of Forest Division Rourkela in Sundargarh district was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance Rourkela Division in the Banki forest section office for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.10000 from one Raju Nag of Kuchelata village under Chandiposh PS for processing document and persue release of a seized vehicle .
The entire tainted money has been recovered and seized.
The office -cum- residence of the accused forester and his residential building situated at Kenduapada, Sundargarh Town are being searched, sources said.
