Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Wednesday announced the appointment of senior IPS officer Sunil Kumar Bansal as the new Director General (DG) of Police.
A notification has been issued by the Home Department in this regard.
Presently, Bansal is serving as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau.
The 1987-batch IPS officer assume charge as DGP Odisha from incumbent DGP Abhay whose tenure ends on December 31, 2021.
