Bhubaneswar: The tenure of Justice MM Das Commission of Inquiry probing the chit fund scam in Odisha has been extended by six months, a notification issued by the Home Department said.
The tenure of the panel was scheduled to end on August 4.
The Commission had submitted its seventh interim report to the State Government last month.
According to reports, 4,97,844 depositors have been identified while at least 1,931 micro small depositors have been refunded and 421 chit fund companies have been identified.
