Chatrapur: As many as three Convid-19 warriors including an anganwadi supervisor, one teacher and a police constable have lost their lives in the fight against Covid-19 in Ganjam district.
The martyrs are K. Asanta Patra, Anganwadi Supervisor, ICDS, Sanakhemundi Block, Gourahari Behera, Head Master, PUPs, Singipur, Aska Block, and Golaka Nayak, Constable, Aska Police Station.

In a tweet, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said “We lost our Three Covid Warriors. Entire District Administration is with their families. We request all people in Ganjam to follow social distancing norms. By doing this you will help our Covid warriors in fighting this war.”
He also expressed deep condolences on the loss of the Covid warriers in the district. In a special message he said, “On behalf of District Administration, Ganjam, I would like to express our deep condolences on the loss of lives of Covid warriors while discharging their duty in the fight of COVID-19 for the mankind.”
“The dedication and devotion shown by them while discharging their duty definitely set an example for others and indeed inspire others in the war against COVID-19. Again, I extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members during this period of mourning”, he further added.
