Ahmadabad: US President Donald Trump today arrived in Ahmedabad on a two-day visit to India.
Trump is accompanied by the US First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and top brass of his administration.
The US President will visit Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram and take part in a roadshow with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both the leaders will jointly address people at Motera stadium.
After the joint address, the Trump couple will be heading to Agra for a sunset visit to the iconic Taj Mahal mausoleum.
In the evening, the US President will leave for Delhi for the main leg of the visit during which restricted and delegation-level talks between Trump and Modi will be held at Hyderabad House tomorrow.
Trump and the First Lady will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow morning.
