Two Covid Hospitals In Odisha Ready

Bhubaneswar: Two hospitals of Government of Odisha exclusively meant for Covid-19 treatment having 625 beds capacity have been operationalised in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today interacted with the Doctors and paramedics of the two hospitals and appreciated their role. He also congratulated the partner organizations KIMS AND ASHWINI hospitals for putting up the facilities in a record time of one week.

 

Two standalone Covid-19 hospitals with total 625 beds capacity known as Odisha Covid hospital of Government Of Odisha are now ready in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. These hospitals are ready to provide dedicated healthcare to Covid patients.

The first one is a 500 beded dedicated hospital at KIMs Bhubaneswar and the second one is at Ashwini hospital Cuttack with 125 bed capacity. Both the hospitals have been managed and funded by Odisha Mining Corporation.

 

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked both the management of KIMs and Ashwini hospital for their cooperation. Naveen also said that “Although we are ready to provide better healthcare to Covid-19 patients in these standalone hospitals, we can win the fight through social distancing, hand washing and observing lockdown guidelines wholeheartedly.”

 

It can be mentioned here that the State Government had earlier announced about free treatment along with free food and rent free stay for all Covid-19 cases in these hospitals.
