With 37,975 Fresh Cases, India’s COVID-19 Tally Reaches 91.7 Lakh

New Delhi: India’s Covid-19 caseload crossed 91 lakh with 37,975 fresh cases being reported in a day, according to the Union Health Ministry data on Tuesday.

The number of coronavirus cases jumped to 91,77,841, while the death toll climbed to 1,34,218 and recoveries surged to 86,04,955 in the country.

Currently, there are 4,38,667 active cases in the country, which comprises 4.78 percent of the total caseload.

Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have reported the highest number of cases.

Globally, more than 5.87 crore people have been infected by the virus and 13.95 lakh have died so far, according to reports.
