With State-of-Art Facilities at ITAT, Odisha CM Hopes Quick Disposal of IT Appeal Cases to Take Place

Bhubaneswar: With the inauguration of Office-cum-Residential complex of ITAT (Income Tax Appellate Tribunal) at Cuttack, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hoped that quick disposal of Income Tax appeal cases will take place and it will serve the people of eastern India.

Speaking at the inaugural function of ITAT at Cuttack, the Chief Minister said, “The Government of Odisha has always been supportive of the development of ITAT, Cuttack Bench, which includes provision of free land for this complex”.

In last 50 years, the Cuttack Bench of ITAT has been playing an important role in disposal of cases, he added.

“ With this new Infrastructure and IT facilities of E-courts, I believe, we will have quick disposal of Income Tax Appeal cases not only from Odisha but also cases belonging to Ranchi, Patna and Guwahati Benches”, said the Odisha CM who attended the inaugural function virtually.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the modern State-of-the-Art, Office-cum-Residential Complex of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Cuttack Bench.
This is the third building complex for ITAT benches in India, and the first in the eastern part of the country.

It may be recalled that the Cuttack Bench was established way back in 1970, with active involvement of former Odisha Chief Minister late Biju Patnaik.
