Berhampur: As many as 43 corona warriors in Ganjam district tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The corona warriors are among the 102 persons who tested positive for COVID-19, said Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Wednesday.
Among the warriors, 16 warriors are from Aska, four from BeMC area, one each from Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur, Jagannath Prasad, Kabisuryanagar and Chikiti and seven each from Dharakote and Kukudahandi and four from Rengeilunda.
Apart from it, 57 cases are active contact positive cases, which have been reported from Aska (6), Bellaguntha (3), BeMC (4), Bhanjangar (3), Chatrapur(2), Dharakote (3), Digapahandi (1), Ganjam (1), Hinjli (2), Jaganatha Prasad (1), Kabisurya Nagar (22), Kukudakhandi (3), Rangeilunda (1), Sankheamundi (2) and Surada (2).
Ganjam district has reported so far 1472 cases of COVID-19, as per the Health and Family Welfare data.
