Puri: As many as 150 sevayats (servitors) will be engaged to conduct ‘Pahandi’ of the Trinity here on the auspicious occasion of Snana Purnima, the bathing rituals of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.
This has been informed by the senior sevayat Binayak Dasmohapatra.
He said that the Snana Purnima ritual is a collective service of the Daitas and servitors, and there is no compromise in it.
Around 150 servitors will be engaged for the performance of the Snana Purnima ritual of the Lord Jagannath and His divine siblings.
As many as 50 sevayats will conduct the ‘Pahandi’ of Lord Jagannath on the occasion. A similar number of sevayats will perform the ‘Pahandi’ of Lord Balabhadra and 25 each servitors for Devi Subhadra and Lord Sudarshan.
COVID-19 test of all Daitas and servitors to be deployed for the conduct of the Snana Purnima ritual would be carried out. Before that, heath screening of Garabadu sevayats will be done on May 29 and May 30.
