5T Initiative: Farmers to Get Services at Fingertips as Odisha CM Launches Online Services

Bhubaneswar: As part of the 5T initiatives of the Odisha Government, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched various online services, including e-licensing for agri input dealers to give a big push to the agriculture sector.

Patnaik also launched database of farmer ‘State Farmers’ Database’ which will benefit around 76 lakh farmers.

Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said, Inclusion of 76 lakh farmers in the database is a good initiative.”

The Government has also decided to issue specific identity cards to farmers by which hey can easily and quickly avail various facilities offered by the government,” Patnaik added.

The process of scrutinisation to issue the identity cards will be completed within 100 days.

With the launch of the online services, the farmers need not to come to the government offices repeatedly for getting the services, he added..
